DHARMA-GAIA FOUNDATION

The Dharma-Gaia Foundation (FDG) is a private non-profit cultural organization, registered in the Register of Foundations of Catalonia. Its primary mission is to preserve, teach and disseminate the rich cultural heritage of Buddhism in Spanish-speaking countries. The FDG is distinguished by its inclusive and non-sectarian approach, promoting a vision of Buddhadharma that encompasses all Buddhist traditions.

To meet its objectives, the FDG organizes a wide variety of activities, including academic courses, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, book and video publications, as well as film festivals. In addition, it provides content and editorial direction to Buddhistdoor en Español, the leading international magazine on Buddhism in Spanish.

Among its outstanding initiatives, the FDG:

- It maintains collaboration agreements with the Rovira i Virgili University and the Autonomous University of Barcelona, with the purpose of offering courses, publishing academic research and holding conferences and seminars dedicated to the study of Buddhism.
- It has two own publishers: Editorial Unalome, focused on the translation into Spanish of Buddhist texts from their original languages, and Editorial Dharma-Gaia, which addresses general Buddhist issues.
- It promotes, together with the CCEB, and sponsors the Buddhist Film Festivals of Catalonia.
- Organizes interfaith Buddhist-Carmelite congresses in collaboration with the Teresian-Sanjuanist International Center and the Center of Buddhist Studies of the University of Hong Kong.
- It is the entity that promotes and sponsors the Ibero-American Network for the Study of Buddhism, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
- He is a founding member and promoter of the Ecobuddhism Laboratory group, located in Chile.
- He develops other projects in Latin America, with a current presence in Cuba, Chile and Argentina.

Through these initiatives, the FDG seeks to enrich the knowledge and practice of Buddhism, encouraging intercultural dialogue and global understanding.
